Mercury Broach Co., Inc. was founded in 1961 as a broaching and gear cutting shop. About 20 years after it opened, Leo Eberlein purchased the business from the original owners. During Leo’s ownership, the business continued to thrive and grow in the Los Angeles area. About 27 years ago, Leo’s only son Mark, began to take over and purchase the business from his father. During Mark time owning the business, they have upgraded to more modern machines which allow for more efficient and safe production and altering of the parts that they receive. Although the business has grown significantly, it is still a small business that operates with about 15 employees, most of those employee’s having worked together for 20 years.
